Who sparked Dhanush-Soundarya's 'VIP2' - details inside

The mass announcement by Dhanush about VIP 2' directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth is the highest trending news on the entertainment circuit and many wonder how this exciting sequel to the cult movie came into being.

It has been revealed that when Kalaipuli Thanu went to visit Superstar Rajinikanth, Dhanush's son Yatra stopped him and asked him whether he will produce films of only his grandfather's film and why not a film with his father. This sparked all round laughter and Rajini explained to Thanu that Yatra will also poke fun on him too. That is how Thanu after listening to Soundarya's script asked her to narrate it to Dhanush who not only accepted the role but also offered to write the story and dialogues while Soundarya would take care of screenplay and direction. The film which is also expected to costar Amala Paul, Surabhi and Samuthirakani will begin shooting on December 20th.
