Dhanush is celebrating his birthday as he turns 39 today and social media is filled with wishes from his friends and fans. The makers of his next film Vaathi unveiled the first look poster yesterday and announced that the official teaser will be launched today.

As reported earlier, the powerful Vaathi teaser has surfaced over the internet just now. The minute-long video begins with a monologue by Samuthirakani describing that education is a business followed by Dhanush's massive entry as a junior teacher Balamurugan. Dhanush sports a look similar to Mahakavi Bharathiyar at the end of the video.

Directed by Venky Atluri, Samyuktha Menon is paired with Dhanush while Samuthirakani plays the baddie. GV Prakash's fiery background score catches our attention. J Yuvraj handled the cinematography and Navin Nooli handled the editing in the film. Dhanush himself has dubbed for the Telugu version of the film titled 'Sir'.

The film, jointly produced by Srikara Productions, Sithara Entertainment and Fortune Four Cinemas, also stars Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Thotapalli Madhu, Narra Srinivas, Pammi Sai, Hyper Aadhi, Shara, Aadukalam Naren, Ilavarasu, Motta Rajendran, Hareesh Peradi, and Praveena in prominent roles.
