Dhanush recently achieved his biggest success yet with Raayan, his 50th film, which he not only starred in but also directed. The revenge action saga has garnered widespread acclaim and shattered box-office records, making it the highest-grossing film of his career. The latest update reveals that the film is set to make its digital debut soon.
Amazon Prime Video announced today that Raayan will be available for streaming on their platform starting August 23rd, in five Indian languages. This news has quickly gained traction online. The film tells the story of a fast-food hotel owner with a dark past, who gets drawn into the violent underworld in a quest to protect and avenge his family.
Raayan has grossed over â¹150 crore worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2024 and the top-grossing A-rated Tamil film of all time. The movie stars Dhanush, SJ Suryah, Selvaraghavan, Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, Prakash Raj, Dushara Vijayan, and others, with a musical score by AR Rahman that has been widely praised.
