Actor Dhanush had last acted in Tamil in Maari 2, and is currently shooting for his 40th movie, which is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Y Not Studios and Reliance Entertainments. The movie which is yet to be titled, is currently being shot in London.

It has been revealed that Master Ashwanth Ashok Kumar, who was seen in the role of Raasu Kutty in the Thiagarajan Kumararaja directed Super Deluxe, playing Vijay Sethupathi's son, has also joined the team and is shooting for the movie in London. Ashwanth had shared a photo of him with Karthik Subbaraj from Tower bridge, London.

Meanwhile, producer Shashikanth of Y Not Studios has updated that the first schedule has been completed, and the second schedule will begin after Dhanush returns from Chennai finishing his Asuran related works.

D40 also stars Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, James Cosmo and has music by Santhosh Narayanan.
