It has been a year since we witnessed Dhanush on the silver screen. Following 'Karnan', the star's three consecutive films were released directly on OTT platforms. While the fans miss him in action, we got some exclusive news about Dhanush's next theatrical release to cheer them up.

'Thiruchitrambalam' is one of the upcoming projects of Dhanush. Directed by Mithran Jawahar, the movie stars three heroines, namely, Raashi Khanna, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Nithya Menen. It was earlier speculated that this film will release on July 1 but it looks like there is a change in the date.

Sources say that the makers are aiming to release 'Thiruchitrambalam' on July 28, Dhanush's birthday. It is to be noted that Dhanush's Hollywood debut film 'The Gray Man' is slated to premiere on Netflix on July 22. Dhanush fans are going to have a double treat for their idol's birthday with one theatrical release and one OTT release in July.

'Thiruchitrambalam' revolves around the story of a young man who falls in love twice in his life, in his college days and in adulthood. Produced by Sun Pictures, Anirudh Ravichander has composed music for the film. Veteran director Bhrathiraja and acclaimed actor Prakash Raj are also part of the cast.
