The multifaceted powerhouse talent Dhanush has been pushing his career boundaries to the max in recent times. After Bollywood he has scaled Hollywood playing a pivotal character in the Russo Brothers upcoming Netflix action entertainer 'The Gray Man' starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans.
Dhanush made his directorial debut in the mature romance film 'Power Paandi' starring Rajkiran and Revathi in the lead roles. The film released in 2017 was a super hit at the box office and also recieved critical praise. The hardworking star then started shooting an epic multistarrer with Nagarjuna, S.J. Suryah, Srikanth, Sarathkumar and Aditi Rao Hydari. The film produced by Sri Thenandal Studios was later shelved due to various issues.
Meanwhile popular comedy actor Robo Shankar revealed in the Kalakka Povathu Champions show on Vijay TV that Dhanush is gearing up to act in the lead and helm a new project. He also added that Ramar and himself will be a part of the cast which suggests that it could be an out and out comedy caper.
On the other hand there are also reports that Dhanush is contemplating reviving the multistarrer for which he has already shot a major portion. If so the comedy duo could be a part of that film too. We will have to wait for the official confirmation as to what will be the next project under D's direction.
As for as acting is concerned Dhanush is super busy shooting simultaneously for 'Naane Varuven' directed by Selvaraghavan and his Telugu debut 'Vaathi/Sir' directed by Venky Atluri. His 'Thiruchitrambalam' directed by Mithran Jawahar and produced by Sun Pictures is expected to hit the screens in late Summer this year.
