Dhanush is one of the finest actors in the Kollywood film industry. After making a mark in Bollywood and Hollywood he is all set to make a debut in the Telugu film industry with the film Vaathi. Now Vikram film actor Fahad Faasil has revealed an interesting detail about his Mollywood debut.
Fahad in a recent interview said that the character Shammi in the blockbuster film Kumbalangi Nights was initially written for Dhanush. "In Kumbalangi Nights, my role was initially worked on for Dhanush. But at that point, we could not afford him in Malayalam cinema," said Faasil, also one of the producers of the 2019 film.
Due to this reason, Fahad stepped into the shoes of Shammi, a control freak husband, who appears to be normal in the eyes of society. The character Shammi was an antagonist in the movie but lacks the usual crookedness and cruelty of villain characters.
‘Kumbalangi Nights’ is directed by debutant Madhu C Narayanan. The movie had actors Soubin Shahir, Shane Nigam, Anna Ben, and Fahadh Faasil essaying the lead roles. Nazriya Nazim, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran have produced the movie for which national award-winning scriptwriter Syam Pushkaran crafted the screenplay. The move became a success with many fans from all over India watching it.
