Earlier today, we updated you that the phenomenal actor Dhanush started shooting for his Telugu debut film titled 'Vaathi'. Meanwhile, the impeccable performer's upcoming investigative thriller 'Maaran' cranked by the young filmmaker Karthick Naren is in the final stages of post-production.

The latest we hear is that Maaran is all set for a direct premiere on the streaming platform Disney+Hotstar in mid-February. An official nod is awaited in this regard.
Malavika Mohanan plays the female lead opposite Dhanush Maaran. The film also stars Krishnakumar, Mahendran, Smruthi Venkat, Samuthirakani and Bose Venkat. Touted to be an action thriller, the leads are playing the role of journalists. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the soundtrack and background score.
