Months ago Actor Dhanush has completed work on the film 'Thodari' directed by Prabhu Solomon. The release of this film produced by Sathya Jyothi Films banner is eagerly expected by film buffs but the team is yet to spell out the release date.

A few weeks ago Dhanush had said that the film will release on either July 29 or August 5,depending on the release date of Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali'. But now sources close to the 'Thodari' unit reveal that the makers have decided to push it further and they are planning to release the film on August 12 to cash in on the grand Independence Day weekend.

We have to wait for an official announcement about the release date from the makers to know whether this is true.

'Thodari' stars Dhanush and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles. Ganesh Venkatraman, Harish Uthaman, Pooja Devaria, Karunakaran, Radharavi, Chinni Jayanth and many others have acted in other important roles. D.Imman has done the musical score and the songs were released last month.

Dhanush is presently busy shooting for director Vetrimaran's 'Vada Chennai.'
