The ‘Kolaveri’ boy, Dhanush has joined hands with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and will be leading Earth Hour 2012 throughout Tamil Nadu. This is a global campaign that works towards a better environment, the need of the hour we must say.

“It increases awareness among individuals and motivates them to work towards a healthier environment”, says sources in the know.

Not just that, Dhanush who is an ardent Sachin Tendulkar fan (he also dedicated a Sachin Anthem to him recently) has joined him with Earth Hour 2012 for the Cricket legend is the national face of WWF!

On March 31, a day after Dhanush’s ‘3’ releases, Earth Hour is planning for a big switch off event where individuals will be encouraged to switch off lights and lead their city in the campaign!

Dhanush – Shruti Haasan’s ‘3’ graces screens worldwide on March 30 in Tamil – Telugu versions. The film is much expected due to reasons known and is an intense romantic entertainer with a fresh take on love.
