Dhanush is a Master in Art and Commerce

Two of Dhanush's production ventures have touched historic milestones in the space of a few days. His commercial masala Kaaki Sattai' starring Sivakarthikeyan entered the 50 crore club and established him as one of the most consistently successful producers of Tamil cinema. Expectations are high for the upcoming Naanum Rowdythaan' starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara and Dhanush's untitled Velraj film with Amy Jackson which are both commercial entertainers.
Dhanush also has a keen eye for meaningful art films and his as yet unreleased children's film Kaaka Muttai' directed by Manikandan has struck gold at the 62nd National Awards, garnering the shared Best Childrens Film Award and Best Child Artistes award for Vignesh and Ramesh who played the lead as two underprivileged brothers who after seeing a Pizza commercial dream of tasting their first pizza and their quest for it. The national awards would have provided a great boost up to Dhanush to come out with more such films in the future.
