Vetrimaaran's 'Viduthalai' is one of the highly anticipated upcoming films in Tamil cinema. Recently it was officially announced that the project is in its last leg of shooting and will release in two parts. The films are based on Jeyamohan's short story "Thunaivan".
'Viduthalai' has Soori as the hero and Vijay Sethupathi in the powerful role of "Vaathiyaar" with Bhavani Sre, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj and Rajiv Menon playing other important characters. Isaigniani Ilayaraja is scoring the music and its the first time he is working with Vetrimaaran.
Another highlight is that Dhanush has sung a song in Ilayaraja's music for the first time in 'Viduthalai'. The song was recorded almost a year back and sources say it might be released as the first single. It is also well known that D is a hardcore fan of the music maestro and felt honored to have got the chance to croon for him.
The Vetrimaaran-Dhanush combo is one of the most cherished in Kollywood that has given four blockbuster hit movies 'Polladhavan', 'Aadukalam', 'Vada Chennai' and 'Asuran'. They have also collaborated in the production of 'Visaaranai' and 'Kaakka Muttai'. Now the dynamic duo are once again set to repeat their magic in 'Viduthalai' too.
