Dhanush, both director and lead actor for the highly anticipated Idly Kadai, recently shared an exciting update that has fans buzzing. Teaming up once again with Nithya Menen, with music by GV Prakash Kumar, this film is produced by Wunderbar Films, Dawn Pictures, and Red Giant Movies.

Today, Dhanush revealed that Idly Kadai is set to hit cinemas on April 10, 2025, aligning with Tamil New Year. This announcement has set the internet abuzz, especially as reports indicate that Suriya’s upcoming film Suriya 44, is also slated for a Tamil New Year release. If both films hold their release dates, Kollywood is set for a major box-office clash.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Suriya 44 promises a period romantic action spectacle starring Suriya and Pooja Hegde, with music by Santhosh Narayanan. Should both films land on the same day, audiences are in for an exciting cinematic showdown, making Tamil New Year 2025 a true festival of cinema.
