Nayanthara is ruling the roost as the Lady Superstar of South Indian cinema for several years now and the film that elevated her after a dull period was 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' directed by Vignesh Shivan released in the year 2015. It was during the making of the film produced by Dhanush that Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan fell in love and are a couple to this day.

A video has gone viral on the internet in which Nayan is seen receiving the Best Actress Filmfare Award for 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan'. In her acceptance speech the talented actress rendered her apology to producer Dhanush revealing that he absolutely hated her performance in the film and promised him that she would improve her acting in the future to get his compliments.

It is unclear whether Nayan's dig at Dhanush was on a lighter note or there is deeper meaning to it however fans on social media are praising the powerhouse performer for growing huge in the ensuing years and continues to draw audiences to theaters on her own charisma.

On the professional front Nayanthara after the success of 'Mookuthi Amman' has Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Annaathe' on hand and will soon start shooting for Vignesh Shivan's 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal' costarring Vijay Sethupathi.
