Actor Dhanush who had acted in the superhit Asuran last year, started 2020 with the successful Pattas released this Pongal. Next the actor is shooting for his 41st movie Karnan which is directed by Pariyerum Perumal Mari Selvaraj and the shoot is happening in Tirunelveli.

Dhanush's next release will be his movie directed by KarthikSubbaraj, which has been called D40 tentatively, and while it had been reported that the movie has been titled Suruli, the production house has given an update on the first look release date announcement.

Y Not studios which produced D40 has tweeted "#YNOT18 #D40 We are preping for the last 3 days of shoot starting on the 6th. We will announce the date of the #firstlook upon completion, which is on the 9th!". D40 also stars Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sanchana Natarajan, Joju George and James Cosmo.
