Dhanush’s ‘D51’ is based on true events? – Full Story

Dhanush has the most promising film lineup across multiple languages. His upcoming project ‘D51’ is currently the talk of the town. It is touted to be a Pan-Indian project directed by Telugu director Sekhar Kammula and produced by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd.

Now, the most recent reports say that D51 will be an arresting thriller film set in a political backdrop. The story is said to be inspired from real political and mafia incidents. It will chronicle events that happened 40 years ago. The makers officially announced that Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead and Nagarjuna Akkineni plays a powerful role. Sources reveal that another leading actor will join the movie in a negative role.

The pre-production work for D51 is underway and the shooting is expected to commence in October or November. As we reported earlier, AR Rahman is likely to score music for the untitled flick. On the work front, Dhanush also has ‘Captain Miller’, ‘D50’, ‘Tere Ishq Mein’, and new films with Mari Selvaraj and Arun Matheshwaran.
