While the official confirmation is still awaited, the film is on track to become the highest-grossing movie in Dhanush's filmography. "Raayan" is said to be the first A-rated 100 crore grosser in Tamil cinema. With this achievement, Dhanush joins the elite ranks of actors whose milestone films have turned into massive blockbusters.

“Raayan” tells the gripping story of a fast-food hotel owner in North Chennai who embarks on a relentless quest to hunt down the gangs that destroyed his family. The film boasts a stellar cast including Dhanush, SJ Suryah, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, and Aparna Balamurali. It has music composed by AR Rahman, cinematography by Om Prakash, and editing by Prasanna GK.
