Actor Dhanush's 'VIP 2' is all set to release tomorrow on a huge scale amid huge expectations. This sequel to his 2014 blockbuster has been directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth.
Dhanush has also completed shooting for his debut Hollywood film,'The extraordinary journey of the Fakir." Apart from that he is acting in director Vetrimaran's 'Vada Chennai' and the first instalment of this trilingual is 90% completed.
The multi-talented star also has 'Enai Nokki Paayum Thota' which is his first film with Gautham Menon. More than 60% of shoot is complete for this film too.
There are also a few more attractive additions to this lineup which will keep Dhanush busy this year. One among them is 'Maari 2' which will be his second sequel film.
'Maari' directed by Balaji Mohan released in 2015 and the film enhanced the mass action hero image of Dhanush. A sequel to this film has been on the cards and Balaji Mohan has been making updates about 'Maari' sequel on and off. The director has also completed the script work for the film.
Now for the first time, Dhanush has opened up about 'Maari 2' in a recent interview He has confirmed that 'Maari 2' will be his next film after he finishes his current commitments. The sequel will retain the same mass element and it will also have intense emotions which was not their in the first part. As in 'VIP' and its sequel, 'Maari 2' will also retain almost all the cast members from the first part except the female lead. Yes, Dhanush has confirmed that Kajal Aggarwal will not be a part of the sequel. The sequel will also have three new characters which were not there in the first part.
After 'Maari 2' Dhanush will team up with his brother cum mentor director Selvaraghavan. This film, the 'Mayakkam Enna' star said will probably go on floors next year.
