Dhanush who was busy shooting for Maaran in Hydrabad has commenced shooting film for his upcoming film tentatively named D44 today. The team commenced the shooting with a poojai.

Financed by Sun Pictures the film will be directed by Mithran Jawahar and has three heroines namely Nithya Menen, Raashi Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar. The film also has Prakash Rajin and Bharathiraja in pivotal roles.

The production house shared the pictures on their official Twitter handle. Actors like Dhanush, Prakash Raj, Nithya Menon and Bharathiraja were seen attending the pooja. The makers of this film revealed the cast yesterday and now the makers are set to unveil the title today. Sharing the news, the makers wrote, “.@dhanushkraja’s #D44 title will be revealed tomorrow at 6 PM. #D44TitleRevealTomorrow @anirudhofficial @RaashiiKhanna_ @MenenNithya @priya_Bshankar @prakashraaj #Bharathiraja".

Anirudh Ravichanderis roped in to compose music for this film. Dhanush and the music director duo are getting back together after a huge gap of 5 years. The rest of the crew members are yet to be finalised.
