Though it has become as old as hills, it is still true that piracy is the biggest threat for Tamil films. Many quality films have not achieved the success they deserved due to the rampant spread of pirated versions.
A few actors and fans of leading stars have voluntarily got down the ground to nab the culprits who create pirated DVDs of new Tamil films and alert the police arrest them.
But for the first time, fans of a star have swung into action to save the films that do not have any connection with their favourite star and this surprising gesture has made everyone feel proud about the existence of fan clubs.
Members of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam (Fan club) in Cuddalore have spotted pirated DVDs of last week's new releases 'Thodari' and 'Aandavan Kattalai'. Immediately a police complaint has been registered on behalf of the fan club and the Police have promptly acted upon the complaint.
Knowing this, actor Dhanush the lead actor of 'Thodari' has thanked the Vijay fans for acting against piracy.
Actor and Nadigar Sangam General Secretary Vishal who has been taking some concrete steps to put an end to the piracy menace has also tweeted appreciating Vijay fans and urged the fans of other actors to come forward.
IndiaGlitz joins Dhanush, Vishal and all those concerned about the welfare of Tamil film industry in praising this initiative of Vijay Fan Club of Cuddalore district who have raised above fan wars and done something for the common good.
Sincere thanks to Vijay sir's fan club association members for filing a complaint against piracy. #godbless #spreadlove
