Dhanush is one young hero who has experimented big time in his career, taking on one challenging role after another like K. P. Karuppu of Aadukalam`, Ram of 3`, the intense lover Maryan` or the badass Maari`. However the role that took him into everyone`s hearts in an instant is Raghuvaran from VIP`. The fact that it is a universally relateable character coupled with the unique portrayal of Dhanush that has attracted a cult following for the past three years or so.

The sneak peak that we get from the trailers show that Raghuvaran this time is the familiar Velaiyilatha Pattadhari who is much more evolved He seems to still have the interesting difference of opinion with his father played by Samuthirakani.
