Dhanush and Amala Paul sizzled as an onscreen pair in the blockbuster hit 'VIP' released in 2014 and its sequel 'VIP2' that came out three years later. Dhanush also produced the female centric film 'Amma Kanakku' (2016) starring Amala in the lead.

Now the hot buzz is that Amala Paul has boarded Dhanush's milestone film 'D 50' which is also his second directorial venture after 'Pa Paandi'. Fans who are waiting for the pair to light up the screens however may be disappointed as Amala is reportedly not the love interest of Dhanush in the film.

So far it is said that Aparna Balamurali and Dushara Vijayan are also part of 'D 50' and will be romancing Sundeep Kishan and Kalidas Jayaram respectively. Since S. J. Suryah is also playing a major character in the film Amala Paul could well be his pair.

Rumours suggest that Dhanush will be romancing Trisha in the film but all the above news bits can only be confirmed during the official announcement that is expected very soon. Speculations are rife that the film will be titled 'Raayan' bankrolled by Sun Pictures with A.R. Rahman scoring the music.
