Renowned comedian Dhanraj, celebrated for his diverse roles, is all set to embark on a new journey as he takes on his directorial debut. The bilingual drama, marking the commencement of this exciting project, was officially launched today, and it's worth noting that Dhanraj will be directing none other than the acclaimed actor, Samuthirakani. Prudhvi Polavarapu will serve as the producer for this film under his Slate Pencil Stories banner, with the film being presented by Prabhakar Aripaka.
The auspicious launch of the movie began with a puja ceremony today, graced by the presence of the esteemed director Venu Yeldandi, known for his work on 'Balagam.' What adds a unique dimension to this project is the fact that Dhanraj will not only be directing but will also be seen on screen, playing the role of Samuthirakani's son in this bilingual offering.
Joining this talented cast are Moksha, Harish Uttaman, Prudhvi, Ajay Ghosh, Pramodini, Lavanya Reddy, Chitram Sreenu, and Rocket Raghava in pivotal roles. The film's regular shooting is slated to commence on November 9, 2023, and the storyline has been penned by Shiv Prasad Yanala, known for directing 'Vimanam.'
This yet-to-be-titled movie promises to be an emotionally charged exploration of the father-son relationship, infused with a unique and intriguing concept. Arun Chiluveru, the music director from Shashi Chitra, will be lending his musical prowess to the project, while the editing will be handled by Marthand K. Venkatesh. Durga Prasad is set to capture the film's visuals as the director of photography.
Dhanraj aspires to capture the same enchantment that his fellow comedian, Venu Yeldandi, conjured with his inaugural creation, 'Balagam.' This remarkable film, renowned for its portrayal of the emotions and rich traditions of Telangana, not only made waves domestically but also clinched numerous prestigious accolades and international recognition.
