The 30 plus actors of 'Dhandupalya' Kannada cinema and director of the film Srinivasaraju are facing some kind of threat on completion of the film. What happens when the treacherous gang leaders are let out at large via judiciary? Actor Muni says he is ready to face the threat while director Srinivasaraju says he will be the first person targeted by the gang members.

There were several calls for director Srinivasaraju already when the news of a film 'Dhandupalya' is under progress. Srinivasa Raju was offered 15 acres of land at Yelahanka – prime place to drop the film and support. Director Srinivasa Raju completed 'Dandupalya' in 40 days for Apple Blossom producer Prashanth and Girish. Already set with a sequel on 'Dhandupalya' Srinivas Raju director Sangathi and Kote has further made progress to his thought when he came to know a cop mistake in letting one of the nine in the Belgaum jail cost 25 lives. What I have shown is just one percent of crime that has happened from Dandupalya gang. There are nearly 180 crimes done by Dhandupalya gang and it is a real story on screen. There is no glorification of violence says Srinivasaraju.

Actress Pooja Gandhi says this is lifetime role of her in five years career. She has also boldly left her back for a torture scene in the film 'Dhandupalya'. She plays the Lakshmi role and it is similar to Shabana Azmi, Rekha and Smitha Patil doing such high role in their career. Pooja Gandhi has gone through the footage shown to her by director Srinivasa Raju. Director came to me for 'Ranganayaki' film but I was impressed with this film script says Pooja Gandhi.

Producers Prashanth and Girish are from Uganda. Both are in fisheries business. Both are classmates in college days. It is somewhat like 'Idi Amin' episodes they expressed on the contents of the film.

Journalist Yathiraj is playing Venkataramana and senior journalist RG Vijayasarathy is playing Poojari in this film. Raghu Mukerji plays the soft role. Petrol Prasanna feels he would be disliked for his role after release. Kari Subbu appeared nude for a to a torture scene. He is the gang leader. Muni is ready to face the challenge after release. Jaidev is Kothi Thimma in the film.

Arjun Janya has scored music for the film. Thriller Manju stunts and Dr V Nagendra Prasad lyrics are part of this film. Anandapriya has penned the dialogues.
