In seven days report according to the producer Prashanth Kumar, Girish and Narayana Babu 'Dhandupalya' is successful film. Although the break even is not possible yet the film is declared hit in the Gandhinagar too. The rush in the theatres is heavy. For the second week despite of three releases in Kannada, 'handupalya'is getting 12 additional theatres.

Director Srinivasaraju did not expect the success to this level. When the subject has the stamina without any big stars in it the success is possible. 'Dhandupalya' has proved it says Srinivasaraju. According to him one of the producers Narayan Babu had the right judgment before release of the film. Ravishanker as cop from negative shade image in his profession to positive is well received is a good development feels the director. The sequel of 'Dhandupalya' will be having different contents.

The 'A' certificate film that was suggested 17 cuts – 14 of it were related to violence. The IG Bhasker, 45 inspectors and a few top ranking cops watched this film. They were satisfied in the making disclosed Srinivasaraju.
