Dhairya Karwa refused to take pics with Deepika Padukone due to this reason

Actor Dhairya Karwa, who is all set to share screen with Deepika Padukone in soon to be released film 'Gehraiyaan', recently shared that he avoided taking pics with Deepika during a party. Dhairya's last Bollywood film was '83' which also had an extended cameo appearance by Deepika. During the wrap party of the project, when his co-stars were busy taking pics with Deepika, Dhairya approached the actress and told her, "I don't want to take pictures with you.”

Recalling the incident during a recent promotional interview with ETimes, Karwa said, "I remember at the party, people were busy clicking pictures with her. I didn’t do that. At one point, I saw she was all by herself. I mustered up the courage, went up to her and told her I am not going to click pictures with you because I am going to do a film with you. At that time, Gehraiyaan was not even being discussed. When I met her for the first time for this film, she was surprised that we indeed were doing a film together."

Talking about working alongside Deepika in 'Gehraiyaan', the actor said, "I was just smitten by her. She is everything you would expect her to be and more. We know of her as this humongous star and a fabulous actor, yet she’s so simple and warm."

Directed by Shakun Batra, 'Gehraiyaan' is going to release on 11th of February on Amazon Prime Video.
