Why should only Himesh Reshammiyya's of Bollywood become heroes? Tollywood's top-of-the-line music director Devi Sri Prasad is all set to become one too.

M S Raju, whose forte is experimentation, is introducing Devi Sri as the hero with his next production. Hansika Motwani will be paired up with Devi, which is learnt to be a love story.

Though we have seen many dialogue writers and lyricists coming from behind the camera to the front, it is the first time we are seeing a musician do the big thing.

Excepting R P Patnaik, who turned actor with mega flop film Seenu Vasanthi Lakshmi, no other notable musician has forayed into the acting department. RP himself once said that he was jealous of Devi Sri when it came to giving stage shows.

In fact, if Devi Sri is very famous and a household name, it is because he is expressive in his TV interviews and is ever-ready to come into their homes with Sunday prime-time special programmes.

Though entertaining on the stage and acting are two different trades altogether, one wishes Mr. Prasad does it.
