As promised recently, Vijay Deverakonda has auctioned his first-ever Filmfare award (which he was given away for his performance in 'Arjun Reddy') for Rs. 25 Lakh. Divi Laboratories won the auction.
At the launch of his clothing line ‘ROWDY WEAR’, the 'Geetha Govindam' actor introduced Shakunthala of Divi Laboratories and disclosed the amount.
The young actor said, “I always see myself in you and this ‘ROWDY WEAR’ is my most ambitious project, my dream and a gift to myself. I always wanted to see my parents without any stress and accordingly knocked every audition for an opportunity. Though I used to get selected in many auditions, I could not make the cut. I was always motivated to make my parents proud and wait for that one opportunity. Finally, it happened with ‘Yevade Subramanyam’ and since then I have never looked back."
“A film will have many events such as audio release, promotional activities. I did not have that fancy looking clothes to look good before the camera. So I used to ask my producers for the clothes I wore in the film. I still have my ‘Yevadu Subramanyam’ clothes in my wardrobe. From there to here I’m launching my own clothing line,” Deverakonda said.
"The ‘ROWDY APP’ and ‘ROWDY WEAR’ are available on Google’s PlayStore. Every Wednesday there will be an auction on www.rowdyclub.in at 6 pm and none will be repeated in this auction," a statement from the brand managers says.
