Speaking at the pre release event of 'NOTA' on Monday, Vijay Deverakonda defended his film against undue doubts regarding its intent.
"The film doesn't favour or disfavour any political party. Someone is complaining that the film encourages people to vote for NOTA (during the Telangana elections). It doesn't do that. In any case, people are not willing to be guided by what a film says in making their political choices," the actor said.
The hero plays a Chief Minister in the film. "It's a completely different political thriller. You will enjoy the story. It's just a few days to go for release," the Geetha Govindam actor added. The bilingual is slated for an October 5 release.
Notably, Deverakonda expressed his plan to turn a producer soon.
The event was graced also by Koratala Siva and Vamsi Paidipally. The 'Bharat Ane Nenu' director revealed that he wants to come up with a nice story for Deverakonda. "I have wanted to do that after 'Pelli Choopulu' itself but couldn't do," he said.
