Deverakonda as a soldier in love story: Reports

The latest buzz doing the rounds in the film industry is that Vijay Deverakonda will be playing the role of a soldier in a romantic drama.  The project will be helmed by Hanu Raghavapudi of ‘Andala Rakshasi’ and ‘Krishnagaadi Veera Prema Gadha’ fame.

A factor that makes the project doubtful is that Hanu has had a very sorry record.  Of the four films that he has made, only Nani’s KVPG’ was a box office hit.  Nithin’s ‘LIE’ and Sharwanand’s ‘Padi Padi Leche Manasu’ were disasters, while ‘Andala Rakshasi’ didn’t do that well.

The ‘Geetha Govindam’ and ‘Taxiwaala’ actor is working on ‘Dear Comrade’ (July 26th release) and an untitled flick directed by Kranthi Madhav.  ‘Hero’, directed by debutant Anand Annamalai and starring Malavika Mohanan as the heroine, is his other assignment.
