The former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda has firmly expressed his stand that any Vokkaliga (Gowda) community should become the chief minister of Karnataka in the coming elections.

Deve Gowda a king maker on many occasions has suggested the names of Congress I DK Shivakumar, BJP R Ashok and JDS HD Kumaraswamy. The route for DK Shivakumar is not bed of roses it is full of thorns opined the former PM HD Deve Gowda.

Deve Gowda was speaking at KIMS hospital adjacent Kuvempu Kalakshetra at the Krishik Sarvodaya Foundation silver jubilee event.

On his political career Deve Gowda mentioned that difficulty is always there in this journey. DK Shivakumar hearing to the statement on the dais looked at senior politician Deve Gowda and folded his hands.
