'Modhi Vilayadu' starring Vinay and Kajal Agarwal is being directed by Saran and produced by Murali Manohar on Metro Films in association with Gemini Industries and Imaging Ltd. For the first time, colonial cousins Hariharan and Les Lewis are debuting as music directors.

Based on the story of a young man's revenge against the people who betray him, Vinay plays an angry young man which is an image makeover since his previous 'Unnale Unnale' and 'Jeyam Kondan'.

For a song in this film, songsters Hariharan and Les Lewis is featured on screen along with the lead cast. Music director Deva who earlier appeared in short roles in 'Englishkaaran' and 'Adithadi', will be seen on screen once again in this song.

Singers Shankar –Ehsaan- Loy ventured into musical composition and became one of the top composers in Bollywood. Now, Hariharan and Leslie after their album 'Colonial Cousins', are stepping into the film industry as music directors.
