The Pongal release 'Petta' and 'Viswasam' with Thalaivar Rajinikanth and Thala Ajith have taken a grand opening and they are sustaining the momentum even after the first weekend. Bot the films have put smiles on all stakeholders as they have been lapped up well by the fans of respective actors and also the general audience.

While a few more films are scheduled to release in the remaining weeks of January we are heading for a packed schedule in February.

As of now at least 18 direct Tamil films are expected to hit the screens next month. Karthi's 'Dev', STR's 'Vndha Rajavadhaan Varuven', Udhayanidhi's' Kanne Kalaimane', GV Prakash's '100% Kadhal', 'Sarvam Thala Mayam', and 'Ayngaran' Atharvaa's 'Boomerang', Vemal's 'Kalavani 2', Krishna's 'Kazhugu 2', Dhruv Vikram's'Varma', 'Panjaatcharam', 'Thirumanam', 'Dhadha 87', 'Vaandu', 'Agnidev', 'Saga', 'Podhunalan Karudhi'are the 18 films that are ready for release in Feb month with 28 days. But it is clear that all films cannot be accommodated in one month with just four weekends. Some films will have to back out.

Let's wait for the official announcement of release date and enjoy a packed February in theaters.
