The Kannada film 'Dev Son of Muddhe Gowda' title is now getting disturbance unnecessarily from the Vishwa Okkaligara Maha Vedhike.

The Gowda community Vedike has raised objections to the title 'Dev Son of Muddhe Gowda' and written a letter to Apex Body KFCC not to permit the title suspecting disturbance to community.

Director Indrajith Lankesh after receiving the copy of the letter via KFCC has clearly mentioned that the objections raised by Vishwa Okkaligara Maha Vedhike are unnecessary and uncalled for. In the first press meet of the film I and Ananthnag have clearly mentioned that the film is not related to any political party and community. We have high respect for all communities Indrajith Lankesh stated again meeting the media on Monday afternoon.

Without seeing what is there in the film it is not good. The name Muddhe Gowda – Muddhe staple food made out of Ragi and Gowda the Vokkaliga community is not referred at all. Muddhe Gowda is the name of the Vokkaliga community. The character of Ananthnag is Muddhe Gowda. From doing very small job in the construction company he raises to top level and gives aristocratic life to his son Dev. That is the main reason for keeping the title 'Dev Son of Muddhe Gowda' pointed Indrajith Lankesh.

I am honored to screen the film to respected Deve Gowdaji. I would do it on 5th of April after censor certificate. 'Dev Son of Muddhe Gowda' film has no insult to the community reiterates Indrajith Lankesh.

The issue of Diganth pant stripped in the advertisement has also has answer in the film. He is an ad guy. He removes his pant for an under wear ad stated IL.
