Dev Son of Muddhe Gowda Review

`Dev..son of Muddhe Gowda' is the career best film of director Indrajith Lankesh. The addition to it is that he has appeared in a song and talkie portions with ease. He might think of bigger roles in his career as he has that good screen presence.

Besides such appreciations the producer of this film Smt Shilpa Ramesh Ramani of Jade Plant Ventures has rightly understood to invest on what kind of film. A series of issues dealt in this film `Dev.son of Muddhe Gowda - the responsibility of youths, parents, difficulty in sailing through with hard work, the character of heroine showing high modest nature, the unity of father and son leading to utmost happiness etc are salient features fed at the right time in `Dev.Son of Muddhe Gowda'.

When Diganth comes before his estranged father with Rs.1 lakh of cheque as his first pay check out of happiness father gets a heart attack. This is the height of happiness plus showing the father and son relationship. Perhaps in no other Kannada cinema such an emotional scene is dealt.

It is true that as children grow should select a field of their choice. This is what Muddhe Gowda realizes at the ability of his son Dev. Kudos to this film team for giving a nicely polished film for the present generation. The role of Charmee is enough to show how the girls should behave in their life. Diganth stands as the example of wayward youths returning with responsibility in life.

Happy go lucky youngster Dev (Diganth) gets everything what he wants in life from his father Muddhe Gowda (Ananathnag). It is a rag to riches story for Muddhe Gowda. His only intention is that what he could not get in life his son should get it and feel comfortable. The only asking from Muddhe Gowda is that his son should study well. Dev shows interest in glamour field. The difference of opinion with his father makes him to leave the house.

Struggle starts for Dev and it is choreographer Kavya (Charmee) intending to become a director in her life comes to his help. The responsibility and hard work are two factors which Dev learns from Kavya. He joins the acting school, learns stunts and supports the necessary expenditure working in a hotel as a bearer. Dev is noticed by a talented director and he is cast as hero in a film. The film is successful and Dev becomes a star. He announces before the media that his second film as hero is with Kavya as director.

Muddhe Gowda now feels happy for the scale of growth of his son and he thanks Kavya for shaping his son Dev.

For Diganth it is a matured role in his career. His usual pranks are missing in this film. He has done a cool and composed role. He is very serious in his performance and unfolds his tucked ability so far. Charmee is not only charming but a very good at performance. The balance of mind she maintains in this film and how she supports Dev is notable aspect of this film.

The song on Diganth and Charmee - Dil Se...is superb one in the film. Diganth shirt button open throughout the song and Charmee giving and receiving pecks brings in a highly romantic mood for the film.

Versatile actor Ananthnag is magnificent as Muddhe Gowda. Acting is like gulping a glass of water for this legendary Ananthnag. Sudha Belawadi is ciucumspect.

The comedy of this film - serious one from Indrajith Lankesh and lighter one from Tabla Nani, Swayamvara Chandru and Raju Thalikote is very absorbing.

Jassie Gift three tunes - Dil Se..Raja Raja..Appuge Appu..are good in scorings. The singers and locations for the songs are attractive to the eyes. The slow motion technique for Indrajith Lankesh and Natalia Kaur song Raja Raja is up to date in quality.

Santosh Rai Pathaje color and glitz required for this film has been stored very well. Every frame is colorful and neat.

This is a family entertainer cinema. The parents and children should not miss this one.
