Prudhvi has been in the news more for political statements, controversies and satires than for any good work as an actor. The audience have started to forget him and unless he pulls off something special in his upcoming movies such as 'Burra Katha', it is going to be difficult for him.

Meanwhile, a rumour has gone out that his role in 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' has been cut short in view of his avowed pro-YSRCP political positions. Prudhvi himself doesn't believe in the rumours. He has full faith in the professionalism of Megastar Chiranjeevi. "I think Chiranjeevi garu is above such things," he has been quoted as saying. "Sye Raa has too many characters and, if Prudhvi's role is shortened, it will be only with the view to reduce run-time," a source says.

Recently, a false rumour went out that he has been kicked out by Trivikram Srinivas in his movie with Allu Arjun because of his comments against Pawan Kalyan in the run-up to the 2019 polls. As we learned later, Prudhvi was never a part of the movie in the first place.
