Promos of 'Desi Boyz' are catching on good heat and camaraderie between Akshay Kumar and John Abraham is being noticed by one all. While Akshay's last two films were 'Thank You' and 'Patiala House' while John Abraham just saw the release of 'Force', one wonders what's kind of film that the duo is presenting the actors with in 'Desi Boyz.

"Rohit Dawan has made a script so honest and truthful that it's the perfect way to bring me and John back together again. I have had a great six months away from limelight so I have been focusing purely on my subjects. 'Desi Boyz' is a 'Dramady' with a lot of ‘Soul’. This is one of my most favourite stories. It is for some special reasons that I can't tell you now but there is a beautiful surprise in store and trust me, it's not about John's or mine bare chests," winks Akshay.

What is also quite prominently visible is the fact that the kind of humour in 'Desi Boyz' is far more subtle when compared to some of the earlier Akshay Kumar starrers. So how does that work for the actor?

"Oh, it’s a breath of fresh air," smiles Akshay, "Don't get me wrong, I adore doing slapstick comedy but it is exhausting to say the least. You have to give every ounce of energy to every scene whereas dry subtle humour may not be as raucous but it has the desired effect. It’s very satisfying because it’s not very easy to achieve. If you don’t create the right mood then sarcasm and one liners can disappear like a bad wig in a sand storm. So getting audience to appreciate one's dry humour is a task and a half but the kind that I love to accomplish."

With Deepika Padukone and Chitrangda Singh as the leading ladies, 'Desi Boyz' releases all over on 25th November.
