Touching ! Little boy visits hospital with ten rupees to save a chicken’s life

The news that dominates across all media is of the negative variety such as child abuse, rape, murders, politics, and hate.  As a huge relief here comes a cute and touching story of Derek C Lalchhanhima a six-year-old boy from Sairang, Mizoram, accidentally ran over his neighbour’s chicken with his cycle. He took the chicken and rushed to the nearest hospital and with all the money he had (which was around ten rupees) asked for help. 

The hospital nurse found that the chicken was dead and asked Derek to go back home after taking a picture of him and posting it on Facebook which went viral.  The parents of the boy stated that their son came back angrily home saying the hospital people did not help and said he will go back with hundred rupees.  Later the parents explained to him that it was too late and nothing could be done.

After Derek’s photo went viral his school management honored him for his humanitarian gesture and have awarded him a certificate to encourage his good heart.  The little boy is also getting thousand’s of fan messages and praises on the internet.
