Deltacron has been mentioned in the news everywhere. It's a hybrid of Delta and Omicron variants of Covid-19. Is it something we should worry about? In this section, we are going to tell you what experts/scientists have discovered so far about Deltacron.
A chief science officer from the US has told New York Daily News that Deltacron doesn't seem to spread as rapidly as Delta and Omicron. There is better news. The hybrid variant is not likely to gain traction in the human population, if some health experts based in the US are to be believed.
Is Deltacron going to become a variant of concern? Not likely, reports are saying. This is on the basis of coronavirus samples tested by different research bodies/health agencies in the West.
Broadly, health experts are saying that it's too early to worry about anything. Fox News has quoted an epidemiologist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health as saying that Deltacron is only a variant if it produces a large number of cases.
