Delhi Heights

Movies that boast of being an ensemble piece are in. With majority of film makers moving away from making formula films and instead concentrating on subjects that are close to real life and still carry enough ammunition in them to be adapted for a dramatic cinematic experience, it has been exciting times for film lovers.

'Delhii Heights' is one such film that takes the viewer to a story (or rather combination of stories) in India's capital - Delhi! Set in a high rise apartment in the city, named 'Delhii Heights', the film is about 3 couples, a mystery man and a bunch of youngsters.

Let's meet Abi [Jimmy Shergill] and Suhana [Neha Dhupia] first. Recently married and fairly successful in their professional lives, they have happy times together, except for one seemingly minor sounding problem - they work for rival companies.

Hence while they both sure quite a healthy marital relationship, the fact that they cross their ways professionally threatens to impact their personal life too. How they face the challenge and try to overcome this issue in their life forms the essence of their story.

In the same apartment lives another young couple Bobby [Rohit Roy] and Saima [Simone Singh]. Everything seemed perfect in this marriage except for the fact that behind closed doors they had their own issues to solve. Reason? Bobby was a compulsive flirt and Saima, who had been patient all this while, couldn't take it any power. Trying to make their relationship work and bring about a change in Bobby's attitude and his responsibility towards her, Saima finally comes up with a way to resolve this problem!

Sweet and bitter moments form a part of everyone's life in this apartment for not just the young couples but even those who are not-so-young. One such Sikh couple is Timmy Kohli [Om Puri] and Ruby [Kamini Khanna]. They have lived together with happiness forever, are fun loving and enjoy life to the fullest. But now there is something that is bothering Timmy in a big way - his own 2 daughters! Unable to accept the fact that they have come of age and are now capable of making their own decisions and live life independently, Timmy stands for a father who could just be the man next door!

Amidst all these couples there are people like Lucky [Vivek Shauq], a cricket bookie, who is quite a fun to be with and a bunch of four boys, who only have one aim in life - to have fun. Now whether it is running after girls or enjoying amongst them, they prove the common saying - Boya Just Wanna Have Some Fun!

Want to be a part of these stories as they run in parallel to each other and also get connected at some point or another? Then wait for the month of March when the film arrives. Directed by Anand Kumar, the film also has Rabbi Shergill as its highlight who is the composer and lyricist of the film.
