Yesteryear star actress Juhi Chawla has come in for the ire of the Delhi High Court. Days after she and two other social activists filed a petition at the court against the setting up of 5G wireless networks in India, the court said in its order that the actress had resorted to publicity by filing the ignorant plea.

Saying that the plaintiffs have abused the process of law, it has imposed a fine of Rs 20 lakh on the trio.
During the hearing earlier this week, Juhi Chawla had circulated the link of the hearing on Instagram. And during the hearing, a few social media users tried to create disruption by playing a song featuring the actress.
It's not surprising that the court opined that the plea is not only unnecessary but also scandalous and vexatious. The court also said that the plaintiffs have no knowledge of the facts related to the 5G technology.
A lot of Netizens have welcomed the HC's order. Many environmental activists, who are full of agenda, make noises whenever a developmental project is taken up in the country. If heavy fines are imposed on them, they are likely to stop wasting the precious time of the courts.
