Actor Karthi who has been known for his agriculture related activities and for supporting farmers through his Uzhavan foundation has now expressed his support and has issued a statement extending his support to the ongoing farmers protest.

It must be noted that farmers have been protesting for more than a week now in New Delhi against the three new farm laws. Actor Karthi wrote in his statement has written “Farmers who have been working hard in fields and are feeding us on a daily basis are protesting for over a week now, fighting against the cold winter and coronavirus, coming together with a single identity of farmers.”

Further he wrote "The news of farmers all over the country leaving behind family, crops, cattle has shook the nation. Already Farmers are troubled with issues like water scarcity, natural disasters, and unfair price for their produce and now their lives will be affected more with the new three farm laws. It has been believed by farmers that these laws will benefit agricultural corporations which are financially strong. Hence I request people in power and authority to pay heed to their request and do the needful."
