'Delhi Belly' and 'Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap' are releasing this week and one thing is for sure - The opening two days would clearly belong to 'Delhi Belly'. Aamir Khan had taken the lead in promoting his adult comedy months in advance and though there has been a last minute resurgence of sorts by Big B and Co. for 'Bbuddah...', it is 'Delhi Belly' which has enjoyed more eyeballs for itself.

This is not to say that 'Bbuddah...' would go unnoticed. Of course it would have a much wider penetration in the single screen audience and chances are that on the weekdays it would come on it's own if the content is truly good. On the other hand one can't be too sure about 'Delhi Belly' post the opening weekend. After all Aamir's last 'Dhobi Ghat' too was predominantly a weekend show and was hardly in the running from Monday onwards.

This pretty much signifies that while content would eventually rule, the weekend collections would make sure that 'Delhi Belly' with an expected opening of around 60%-70% would immediately find itself in a safe zone while 'Bbuddah...' at 40%-50% would have a few nervous moments to encounter before it can breathe easy. Of course the satellite and other rights mean that both films would end up being profitable ventures. However for the all important box office show, this clash has turned out to be the biggest of the year so far.
