Hey Rascalla, nobody forgets the Superstar, you'd say? But turns out the Hon'ble Defense Minister of India, Manohar Parrikar, just did. Earlier the Chief Minister of Goa and now the Defense Minister of the country, Manohar Parrikar was one among the dignitaries, those were present at the 45th IFFI in Panaji. Along with him were Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley, Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, State Governor Mridula Sinha, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, and actors including Amitabh Bachchan and Superstar Rajinikanth.

Rajinikanth was awarded the prestigious Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of the Year, at this IFFI, and he dedicated his award to fans, technicians and well wishers. The hoopla began when Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar took the mic and started addressing the dignitaries. He mentioned their names individually, but missed to mention Rajinikanth, which sent the actor's fans in uproar. The Minister clarified the matter, stating "I had written down all the names, but forgot the paper down there." He also apologized to Rajinikanth for the error, as a kind gesture from a man of his stature.
