Bollywood star actress Deepika Padukone, who was recently seen in the Hindi-language sensitive drama 'Chhapaak', will soon be seen as Kapil Dev's wife in '83', the sports drama that will be released in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.

For the role of Romi Bhatia, the wife of cricketer Kapil Dev, the talented 'Padmaavat' actress had to undergo a transformation of her look (especially the hairdo) even though hers is just a small part in the movie. “To play a small part in a film that captures one of the most iconic moments in sporting history has been an absolute honour! '83' for me is an ode to every woman who puts her husband’s dream before her own," says Deepika, unveiling her look from the seemingly promising movie.

83 has Deepika's husband, actor Ranveer Singh, playing Kapil Dev. Directed by Kabir Khan, the movie releases on April 10.
