There were feelers that Sanjay Leela Bhansali might change the release date of his movie to avoid such competition. But Deepika's announcement via her social networking proved it otherwise. She had posted "Challenge Accepted", which made it clear that Bhansali has decided to go with the original date (Dec 18).
