Amongst others, the latest celebrity who will be joining the world’s biggest superstars at Madame Tussauds with wax figures is none other than our very own Deepika Padukone. The first figure will be launched in London early 2019 and then the second figure in Delhi within the next few months of the London-launch to draw more attention to tourists and fans of the actress.
The ‘Padmaavat’ actress had flown to London to meet the team of Madame Tussauds experts for the specific measurements and photographs. She said, "I am so delighted. The sitting with the team of experts was a special experience and I look forward to the incredible figure at the attraction." During the FB Live, Deepika said that she wants to look something which will have an Indian touch as that's her roots and relatable to global people as well.
On being asked whom she’d like her statue to be placed next to, she said, “I think near fun people so that we can have our own little party there. But I think just to be part of this legacy of people who have achieved so much in life is exciting enough.”
Recently, Anushka Sharma too had made it to the list of the icons at the Madame Tussauds museum in Singapore, where she will have a wax statue with a special interactive feature that will have her talk.
