Actress Deepika Padukone is currently busy raking praises for her performance in the film 'Gehraiyaan' and apart from that, she has multiple exciting films set to release in future as well. One of these films is the remake of modern Hollywood classic, 'The Intern'. The film was originally supposed to go on floors last year but, unfortunately, it was stalled due to the pandemic.
Recently, during a media interaction, Deepika shared a much needed update on the film. She said, "The Intern will happen this year, or early 2023. The third wave wasn’t anticipated, so it threw a few things off course. But now, [we are] back on track." 'The Intern' is a 2015 comedy drama which starred Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway.
The remake was originally set to star Deepika Padukone and Rishi Kapoor but after the latter's demise, he was replaced by Amitabh Bachchan. Deepika will also be seen in films like 'Pathan' and 'Fighter', both of which will be helmed by Siddharth Anand.
