Deepika Padukone, radiating pregnancy glow, continued her streak of stunning looks, gracing the sangeet ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in a breathtaking purple saree. The expectant mother shared pictures of her elegant ensemble on Instagram, her baby bump adding to the charm of the flowing drape.
Deepika's saree was adorned with intricate zari work and paired with a bejeweled white choker and matching earrings. A matching blouse further enhanced the visual appeal of the ensemble. Her hair was styled in a sleek bun, and her makeup was subtle yet impactful with smoky eyes, darkened eyebrows, nude lips, and a delicate finger ring.“Just… coz it’s a Friday night & wants to party,” Deepika captioned her post on Instagram, tagging husband Ranveer Singh.
Her husband, Ranveer Singh, who celebrated his birthday on July 6th, couldn't resist gushing over his wife's beauty, commenting on her post, "Hayyyye! my beautiful birthday gift. I love you."
The couple announced their pregnancy in March, shortly after Deepika's appearance as a presenter at the BAFTA 2024. They have been together since meeting on the set of the 2013 film "Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela" and tied the knot in November 2018 at Lake Como, Italy.
Deepika is currently basking in the success of her performance in Nag Ashwin's sci-fi epic "Kalki 2898 AD." The film, which also stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani, has been a box office hit, grossing over ₹700 crore worldwide in a week. She has several other projects lined up including Rohit Shetty's "Singham Again" and Farhan Akhtar's "Don 3."
Deepika's presence at the star-studded sangeet ceremony was just one of many highlights of the celebration. The event, held at the NMACC in Mumbai, saw the presence of a multitude of Bollywood celebrities including Madhuri Dixit, Khushi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Salman Khan, MS Dhoni, Aditya Roy Kapur, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor.
The wedding festivities are scheduled to culminate on July 12th with the main ceremony at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC, Mumbai. Guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the occasion by dressing in traditional Indian attire.
