One of Bollywood’s amazingly talented actresses, Deepika Padukone was nominated in the “Best Actress” category for ‘Padmaavat’ in the recently held 64th Filmfare Awards. She had lost it to Alia Bhatt, who won for her equally brilliant performance as Sehmat in ‘Raazi’. However, DP losing out the award to Alia did not go pretty much well with the fans.
One of the fan clubs of the ‘Piku’ actress with the name “deepika.padukone.fanpage” took to their Instagram page and wrote a slamming note and questioned if Filmfare could give Ranveer Singh and Ayushmann Khurana a tie then why not to these actresses! The fan club was also not happy with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for allegedly chopping off her scenes from ‘Padmaavat’. Check out the note here -
The comment caught DP’s attention and her reply to it won our hearts instantly all over again. She wrote, “To all my Fans, I am sorry I let you all own and promise to work harder than ever before... #upwards&onwards”
Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress will be next seen in Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Chhapaak’ which also stars Vikrant Massey as the male lead. The first look from the film was out yesterday and created a huge effect on the Internet. The film is slated to release on January 10, 2020.
